First off, I am a big KA fan. It has been awhile since I have read one of her books and after reading After the Climb I could not wait for Chasing Serenity to come out! I was not disappointed since I love KA characters and how they develop in her books. Chloe and Judge were no exception!
Chloe is a high spirited independent woman who loves her family with all her heart. She is the oldest child of famous divorced parents. She grew up with lots of love all around her and she was taught to take care of her family at a young age and that's what she does.
Judge is a very laid back patient man who did not have the best childhood. He is a flirt and loves high maintenance women, which is how he meets Chloe. Sparks fly between them as well as the bickering which I enjoyed.
This story is a slow burn and its about family, love and loss. There is a lot of emotion in this book. I did not know if I wanted to cry, laugh, or yell. I loved all the secondary characters, who will also be getting their own books! I also loved the postscript at the end!
I would recommend reading After the Climb to get the whole backstory. I really enjoyed Chasing Serenity and would recommend it to anyone who loves a good emotional book with lots of love in it!
